I am a co-worker of Lillian Woodard.  I went to see the monument last Friday that you made for Heather what a gorgeous piece of craftsmanship. And what a generous, wonderful thing to donate to such a deserving people. I just wanted to tell you that many people truly appreciate your work and gift.

 My family and I thank you for the fine work you did on the memorial stone for my parents. Your workmanship was excellent. Your personal service was exceptional. In fact, had it not been for your attention to details and our schedule for the Memorial Service at the gravesite, we would not have known that the church people had not been on top of things. Even though the cemetery people failed to do the concrete footing in time, you managed to deliver and temporarily set the stone in the proper place for our graveside service on August 5th. We're told that footing will be done on August 15th, after which they will place your stone on the footer. Again many thanks. It’s comforting to know that some people care enough to serve their customers with kind of service you provide.

I am rather ashamed that I took this long to drop you this note but was not feeling up to par, maybe Josephine is calling me home now that her Grave Marker is done right.  Felt I just had to drop you a line to say that last Sunday after church I dropped by Holy Cross Cemetery as I often do every Sunday after church and how low and behold the Grave Marker was in place.  Words fail me….You and Summit Memorials company did a TERRIFIC job, one I am sure that Josephine herself is pleased with….not only that but perhaps thanks to Sharon of Holy Cross for perhaps she was right there to insure that the stone was placed there with the newly engraved side up and not only that, it was really at the head of the grave, not facing the other way.  Maybe Tony Pilla and his boys were wide awake and sober.

We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for your kind contribution toward the Babe Flossie L.A. Open Golf Outing.  A beautiful picture and article appeared in the Beacon Journal and Channel 23 covered the dedication on television.  The monument itself stands at Garfield High School on the practice field.

            Please feel free to observe the tribute to Coach Flossie at any time.  The work on the monument was done by Summit Memorial and is an outstanding piece of craftsmanship and art.  We would like to give special thanks to them for going the extra yard as Coach would have said.
